How to join the Register

What kind of professionals do we look for?

The Register is open to a broad range of property professionals including surveyors, solicitors, agents, architects, facilities managers, access consultants, environmental consultants, relocation specialists and tradespersons.

We look for well qualified highly experienced professionals who wish to use their skills and experience to assist charities. Previous experience of working with charities is not essential, however an appreciation of the specific difficulties faced by charities and an understanding of the governance and legal frameworks within which charities operate is vital, for example Section 117 of the Charities Act 2011.

Essential criteria

Professionals wishing to join the Register must meet the following essential criteria:
  • hold Professional Indemnity insurance
  • provide references from two recent clients
  • hold membership of a relevant professional body (where applicable)

In addition, all professionals wishing to become Register members will be asked to work on a flexible fee basis with the Foundation’s clients and to sign the Foundation's Ethical Charter. You can view the Charter by clicking on the link below.
