The Foundation is working in partnership with chartered surveyors Cluttons to better understand the property situation and needs of the UK’s largest charities. Over the next two days Foundation Director Jo Taylor will be facilitating two roundtable events, hosted by Cluttons. The roundtables are bringing together household names from the charity sector to explore the property strategies that can best meet their operational and investment property needs.

The Ethical Property Foundation is looking for a freelance PR Consultant to boost its profile and raise media awareness around its cause. The PR Consultant will have the opportunity to deliver a complete PR programme with flexible hours. The Foundation is looking initially for a one year commitment in the region of 1.5 days per month.

Big Assist, the NCVO / Big Lottery Fund support programme for infrastructure organisations, has recently launched a Sponsored Visits and Mentoring Programme. With the view that ‘one of the best ways to learn is from others who have done or are doing what you would like to do’, the scheme supports infrastructure organisations to visit or mentor one another.

85% of charity clients rate our property advisers 5/5, according to the Foundation’s latest client survey. Half of all of survey participants told us that they had saved money, raised funds or generated new income as a direct result of our advice. A number of charities have generated in excess of £50,000. With our support, charities have cut their rent, service charge and business rates bills, increased property values, and planned robustly for the future.

We at the Foundation are thrilled to share the news that The Mayor of London and Groundwork are currently offering grant funding to community groups for pocket park projects. Grants between £5,000 and £20,000 are available to constituted community groups. The deadline for applications is 17:00 on 23 July 2013. An element of match-funding is required.
