Ethical Property Foundation - Current Projects

There are some problems in society that can only be tackled by a change in that society. This might be a change in the law, in behaviour or simply in attitude. But in all cases the problem has to be tackled at a structural level – and it needs a social change organisation to tackle it.

The Foundation has undertaken a survey, in partnership with the Ethical Property Company, to identify the size and geographical spread of the UK social change sector. Research to date has identified 774 social change organisations working on issues from human rights to the environment.

The Foundation has created BeTheChange! – a web-based guide to the social change movement. The website includes a directory of UK social change organisations, facts and figures on the social change movement, information on careers in the sector and links to social change resources. This work aims to better define the social change movement, and raise its profile among funders, careers services and potential supporters. We are also keen to encourage more networking and mutual support within the sector.
